Frequently Asked Questions

The following FAQs provide answers to some of the most common inquiries that we’ve heard from our patients. If you have any questions that aren’t addressed here, don’t be afraid to ask them during your next appointment with our team!

How Do I Find the Best Place to Get Dental Work Done?

First, you should clearly define the reason why you’re looking for a dentist so that you can search for a practice that offers the specific services you need. For example, if you want to replace your missing teeth with dental implants in San Antonio, you can look for a dentist who is able to perform the treatment in-house.

On top of that, you should also make a list of traits that you want your new dental practice to have. For many patients, this includes “being willing to accept my dental insurance” and “being located nearby.”

Upon finding a practice that seems to be a good fit, your next step should be to learn more about it. Pay a visit to the practice’s website to see if it includes a bio for the dentist that gives you insight into their credentials and their approach to care. You can also check to see if the practice has received any reviews on Google or Facebook.

How Can I Make a Same-Day Appointment with a Dentist?

You can request an appointment using our convenient online form, but taking this approach means that our team may not be able to get back to you right away. As such, if you ever need to schedule a same-day appointment, the best way to contact us is over the phone. You’ll be able to speak directly to a helpful team member who can make the necessary arrangements for your visit while also providing any first-aid advice that you might need.

How Much Does It Cost to Get a Tooth Pulled Without Insurance?

The average cost of a tooth extraction in the United States is in the range of $150 to $400. That said, our team can only give you an estimate of how much you can expect to pay for the procedure once we have examined your mouth and learned more about your situation. The number of teeth involved, the type of extraction performed, and the type of sedation used (if any) can all influence the price tag of your tooth extraction.

What Do You Do If You Can’t Afford a Dentist?

In the interest of making it easier to pay for your care, we are in-network with a variety of dental insurance plans. We’ve also created the Big Smile Membership Plan as a way for our patients to enjoy discounts on our services without the headaches that come with insurance such as deductibles and annual maximums. On top of that, if you would like to pay for your care in monthly installments instead of all at once, we can help you apply for financing from CareCredit or Cherry.
